When traveling from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) to the heart of Venice, you have various transportation choices at your disposal. Here are a few of the frequently used options

  1. Bus: The ACTV bus line 5 Aerobus operates between the airport and Piazzale Roma in the city center of Venice. These buses run frequently, and the journey typically takes around 20-25 minutes. Once at Piazzale Roma, you can continue your exploration on foot or take a vaporetto (water bus) to reach your final destination within the city.

  2. Water Taxi: At the airport, you'll find water taxi services that offer direct transportation to your desired location in Venice. Although this option tends to be more expensive, it provides a picturesque and direct way to reach the city center.

  3. Private Transfer: Another alternative is to pre-book a private transfer service, which will arrange for your pickup at the airport and transport you directly to your hotel or preferred destination in Venice.

  4. Car Rental: If you prefer to have your transportation, you can rent a car at the airport. However, keep in mind that private vehicles are not allowed in the historic center of Venice. Therefore, you will need to park your car at a designated parking facility outside the city and then utilize public transportation to access the center.
